Bought at the height of the bubble in a rapidly rising real estate market, now $50 or 22% under water and renting the home. Haven't quite figured out what we are going to do yet.

My worst experience. I sold a house last month. We agreed to price, but the appraisal was $15k lower. Ultimately, we had to reduce the price to get the deal done. The lenders are running scared right now and that makes it hard on buyers and sellers alike.

Seems like the biggest issue with private real estate sites is their inability to provide all the search functionality of the full-blown MLS systems. The more precise the search can be, the easier to use. Is this part of Yigdigs' strategy?

In answer to your question, my worst experiences have generally been mistakes by closing attorneys who overlooked necessary docs or signatures and had to redo deals at the last possible moment. I once had a signature page faxed and delivered by cart to me while I was on an oceanside resort golf course. (Wasn't a bad round, however.)
