Servinity Solution for Restaurant Staffing

Josh Luber above speaks from the perspective of raising capital for his promising young company.  Servinity solves the puzzle of matching a relatively mobile and youthful workforce with the complex variety of jobs and shifts that enable a restaurant or bar to provide quality service. Servinity’s software allows an employer to view available employees and their skill sets and to create and publish an online schedule. Employees are notified that the schedule is available by SMS — a medium that is best for workers who are generally on their feet and on the go. The software further accommodates requests for time off and for shift swapping, again backed up by SMS as requests are approved.

Employers can also use the company’s job board to post information about openings and can even use Craig’s List to source potential hires back into Servinity’s applicant tracking software.  The software includes the tools necessary to manage efficiently a constantly changing pool of resumes as jobs need to be filled.

Pricing is a flat rate per location for restaurant owners and free to individual workers and applicants.

The company is addressing a highly fragmented target market.  It does have regional competitors such as HotSchedules (Austin) and ScheduleFly (Wilmington and Raleigh) that offer similar services, but that’s not to say that Josh Luber and his team can’t take a bite of this sizable market.
