I recently interviewed founders of the free online store and shopping experience StorenvyJon Crawford and Nick Roccanti - at the amazing LessConf in Jacksonville, FL. LessConf was put on by Allan Branch and Steven Bristol, the ROR developer guys at LessEverything.  LessConf (coming to Atlanta in May 21-22, 2010) featured an A-list of awesome “Speakers Who Inspire Us” that included Gary Vaynerchuk (WineLibrary.tv and VaynerMedia), Derek Sivers (CD Baby), Mike McDerment (FreshBooks), Kevin Hale (Wufoo), David Hauser (Grasshopper), Colin Devroe (Viddler), Des Traynor and Eoghan McCabe (Contrast.ie) and Jason Fried (37 Signals). It was the best conference Jennifer Bonnett and I have ever attended (although TEDxPeachtree was a close 2nd).

Crawford and Roccanti were preparing for the official launch of Storenvy, an online social shopping site they started with bootstrap financing a year and a half ago. The free to use online shopping site at StoreEnvy gives you the experience of shopping with other people in a mall, but “not lame” says Crawford. Profitable since day one selling tee-shirts, screen printing and other printing services (buttons, stickers, postcards), Storenvy is in an enviable position. Crawford who hails from Kansas City, MO and Roccanti from Orlando, FL and their San Diego-based designer were planning to centralize StoreEnvy headquarters to Austin, TX in Longhorn country. Try out their free online store and start making some money today at Storenvy.
